Obama Rattles McCain, McCain takes it personally

Last night’s presidential debate went poorly John McCain, due to the visible stress that Obama’s rhetorical upper edge caused him.
This stress was already getting to John McCain when, in an apparent moment of fervor, he sloppily referred to Barack Obama as “that one”. The debate continued to spiral downward for John McCain when, in discussing health care coverage, he carelessly referred to his potential need for a hair transplant. The Fox News camera focused on the top of his head gave voters visual confirmation of his elderly age.
After invoking Theodore Roosevelt’s “Speak softly and carry a big stick” foreign policy and suggesting that Barack Obama speeks loudly, Barack Obama humiliated John McCain by reminding America how bad of an example of “speaking softly” his bombastic “Bomb, Bomb, Bomb, BombBomb Iran” Beach Boys rendition was.
Visibly shaken, John McCain was forced to publicly admit that he was “joking with an old veteran friend”. Again, another inconvenient age reference.
At the end of the debate, John McCain’s refused to shake Barack Obama’s hand, a gesture that even the CNN commentators called out as a sign of John McCain’s debate-long disdain.

All this leaves Americans asking the question, “If John McCain can’t remain calm and civil during a presidential debate, how can we expect him to handle the stresses of international diplomacy?”
